Prince William and Princess Kate are heading back to where it all started.

On April 29, the pair will make a trip to Scotland for a couple days of engagements, which will begin exactly on their 14th wedding anniversary.

Scotland is where the couple first met when they were both students at the University of St. Andrews. Famously, Kate took part in a student fashion show there, where she wore a sheer lace dress that caught the eye of Will, who was seated in the front row.

The couple didn’t begin dating until some years later, in 2003, and they eventually tied the knot on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey—on St Catherine’s Day, fittingly.

It won’t be all champagne and roses for the couple’s anniversary trip, though, as they’re set to have a busy itinerary in Scotland, where they will celebrate local farmers and craftspeople through various appearances.

The royal duo will spend their time on the Isle of Mull, where they’ll begin their visit in the capital, Tobermory. During their trip, the Prince and Princess of Wales—who also have the titles of Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland—will visit a local town hall, a producers’ market, a farm where they will learn about sustainable agriculture, and a rainforest to learn about preserving the habitat.

The last time the Waleses made a trip to Scotland together was in 2023, for the National Service of Thanksgiving and a dedication to the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Later that same year, they also visited the charity organization Outfit Moray to learn about adventure services for local children. Their last royal tour their together was in 2021. This marks the first overnight trip that Kate has made since her cancer diagnosis in early 2024.
